“Lightening Bugs at Dusk” Original

10x10 acrylic canvas painting with beaded Lightning bugs! Vintage Venetian beads in opaque black and czech beads, neon green is UV Reactive! 
“Lightening Bugs at Dusk” is based off a recent evening at Devil’s o aka Sacred Lake in Wisconsin. The event has a beautiful sunset resulting in clear dark blue skies, and driving in from south shore entrance-the lightening bugs were out dancing and blinking their blink patterns brightly as we descended into the park. It was a very hot summer day, but the gentle breeze off the lake was perfect. 
2 pairs of matched small lightning bugs have matching wing patterns to symbolize their blink patterns, the large lightening bug is different and hasn’t found their match yet, they are happily blinking away and flying with the crowd knowing they will eventually find their match.
